In early days, bomb detection and disposal was a manual task putting human life into stake. The job was quite difficult and delicate. The personnel involved in this process should be highly alert and focused because one mistake could end up with many lives. To make the job easier and to reduce the risk,”Bomb detection robot” was designed and put to task.
In the present world of electronics, most of the research work is going on in the field on embedded system programming and security related applications and robots. This prototype robot is capable of moving across a suspected bomb area and is remotely guided by bomb squad which is directed and navigated using remote camera and computer. The unit is capable of detecting obstacles, metal, and sending relevant information regarding this to the base stations. In case of detection of fire the unit travels to the particular region and make an effort to send information related to metal. By making use of this remote controlled unmanned robot, the lives of the bomb squad crew safe.
The Robots first job is to get up and personal to the site, no matter the terrain. Once it has reached the objective, built in cameras help the crew get a heads up on what is considered potentially dangerous and initiate steps to handle the situation. The brain of the robot is the control unit. That is where the bomb squad operates from. The cameras, mobility, everything is controlled by an operator.
The Bomb detection require proper handle of Robot, and carefully operated by the the bomb squad.This require higly skilled person. In case if any mistake done ,then it will cause huge problem many life come in risk. The manufacturing of robot is costly.
The different tools that used are Microcontroller, Encoder, Antenna, Rf siganal which is wireless communication medium, Zigbee for update from Robot, Decoder,Dc gear motor for robot movement, Buzzer, Amplifier for Amplifying Current, Relay Regulators, Lcd, Camera. Robot is used for detecting suspicious object and save life. The operating is easy if we know how to operate. It can move in terrain place.
